JAVIER (JAVI)

Salsa, Bachata, Chachacha and Merengue Instructor
Choreographer and Performer

Javier, from Ecuador, is a natural Latin dancer and has been dancing since 2004. He has been taught Salsa and Bachata by some of the top instructors in Spain and worldwide whilst living in Madrid and travelling to international dance congresses.

He started teaching Salsa in Madrid, and on moving to London in 2010 he soon became an instructor of Salsa and then Bachata at the respected Salsateca Dance School- both at their weekday classes and famous weekend party nights such as El Bembe and Madre Rumba.

Since starting Sabor Salsa and Bachata in Cheltenham Javier has not only founded and taught at regular Salsa and Bachata Nights but also choreographed the Sabor Dance Group’s first performance, a Cha Cha Cha and Bachata Show, which he took across the UK in Summer 2019. More Performance Groups are planned for 2020.

CHARLIE

Charlie originates from Cheltenham and started learning Salsa at University. In 2014 she met Javier at Salsateca Dance School London, whilst living and working in the capital. Charlie discovered her passion in the rise of Bachata in London at this time, and is a big Bachata Sensual fan!

Since then she has been dancing non-stop and has enjoyed teaching with Javier in his Salsa and Bachata classes and performing in their Show in various locations. As well as training with Javier, Charlie has learned from top UK and international artists at regular London parties, workshops and international congresses.
